Terms of use

Coran AI is a service for reading and studying the Quran: the Mushaf text with its translation, recitation, memorization, and an assistant that answers from the text of the Quran, quoting the verses. It is available at www.coran-ai.com and in the “Coran AI” Android app.

By using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

“Service”: the website www.coran-ai.com, the Android app and all of their features.

“User”: any person who accesses the Service.

“We”: the team that publishes and operates Coran AI.

“Assistant”: the question-and-answer feature based on an artificial-intelligence model.

“Premium”: the paid subscription described in section 5.

Reading, listening and memorization do not require an account. An account is needed for the assistant, bookmarks, collections, notes and syncing your reading position.

You provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.

We may suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms. If you dispute that decision, write to us at contact@coran-ai.com.

You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from your settings.

We collect only the data needed to run the Service. It is never sold.

The details of the data kept, the providers that process it and your rights are set out in the privacy policy at www.coran-ai.com/privacy.

The free plan includes reading, listening, word by word, memorization, bookmarks and 5 questions a day to the assistant.

Premium gives 30 questions a day to the assistant on a more advanced model, longer answers, PDF export of conversations, verse collections and personal notes. The current monthly and yearly prices are shown on the plans page before any payment.

The subscription is paid in advance at the start of each period and renews automatically, month by month or year by year, until cancelled. Payment is processed by Stripe.

By subscribing, you request immediate access to the Service and waive your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

You can cancel at any time from your settings, at no cost. Your Premium access stays active until the end of the period already paid; no started period is refunded.

The Android app does not sell subscriptions: Premium is taken out and managed on the website.

You use the Service in compliance with the law and with respect for other users.

It is forbidden to circumvent the Service’s limits (question quota, the assistant’s safeguards), to disrupt its operation or to access it by automated means.

A collection made public contains only verse references; its name must not contain any unlawful or offensive content.

We may restrict or suspend access in case of breach.

The text of the Quran is free of rights. The translations shown belong to their authors or publishers and are credited under each verse; the French word-by-word translation is the Coran AI edition.

The interface, the code and the editorial content of the Service are protected. You may copy and share verses and your own conversations for personal use; any reproduction of the Service or its editorial content for other purposes requires our agreement.

The assistant is a tool for studying the text: it quotes the verses and their references, and it can make mistakes. Its answers are neither religious rulings nor medical, legal or financial advice. Check the references in the reader and, for any personal situation, consult a qualified person.

We do our best to keep the Service available and accurate, without being able to guarantee the absence of errors or interruptions. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the assistant’s answers.

These terms are governed by French law.

In case of dispute, first write to us at contact@coran-ai.com to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the competent courts are those of Paris, subject to consumer-protection rules.
